Jay has led multiple successful enterprises over the course of the past 20 years, often times in highly regulated and intensely competitive environments. His initial entrepreneurial venture was the development of Canada’s first large scale renewable energy project with AIM PowerGen. Later, Jay co-founded publicly traded Licensed Producer Newstrike Brands (TSX:HIP.V – now Hexo Corp), leading it to a sale valued at approximately $350 Million. Throughout his career he has successfully raised hundreds of millions of dollars through the capital markets and executed nearly half a billion dollars in M&A transactions as the sell-side.
