Co-Founder Amavida Coffee and Trading Company

Dan grew up in coffee-growing regions and has lived in many international settings throughout his life. These experiences have shaped his connections with coffee, farming communities, and his concern for the environment. Through these passions, Dan and his wife Sally formed Amavida Coffee and Trading Company in 2004 with the intention of creating a positive impact in coffee communities abroad.

Amavida is a majority woman-owned business and a legal Benefit Corporation with offices located in Santa Rosa Beach, FL, and Birmingham, AL. Amavida is an importer, roaster, and purveyor of specialty coffee and distributes sustainable coffee, tea, and plant-based food service products to coffee houses, bakeries, and food establishments. The company has recently achieved Carbon and Plastic neutrality, offsetting one hundred (100) percent of their carbon and plastic pollution.
