David Costa

David M. Costa is an entrepreneur, family man, and business leader, owning and operating 17 McDonald’s restaurants with his family in cities throughout Northwest Florida – primarily along the gulf coast – including locations in Panama City, Panama City Beach, Blountstown, Marianna, Madison, and soon to be Santa Rosa Beach. Costa Enterprises was founded with the vision of exceeding customer’s expectations and creating a positive experience for each and every customer. Today, Costa Enterprises employs over 1,000 people and serves more than 20,000 customers per day.

A franchise owner for the past 20 years, Costa became one of McDonald’s youngest franchisees at just 23 years old. His involvement in the restaurant business, however, stretches back to 1993, where he began his McDonald’s franchise career in Mobile, AL In addition to operating McDonald’s franchise locations, David Costa is also passionate
about leadership development, and plays an active role in McDonald’s leadership programs, including membership on the McDonald’s National Executive Leadership Team, McDonald’s National People Team Chairman, and travels around the country helping other McDonald’s owner/operators lead their companies through the power of people.

David is a graduate of the University of West Florida with a Bachelor’s of Business Administration and the University of Florida Master of Business Administration. Through his involvement with McDonald’s leadership programs and investment in his community, David is committed to building the skills of tomorrow’s leaders and helping young people achieve success, contribute to their communities, and have the confidence to pursue personal goals.

Personally, David is married to Mary Jane Costa and together they have 6 children and enjoy travelling the world to find the best restaurants, coffee, and cocktails along with showing their children new cultures.
